Tales From ‘85 Storyboard Revisions Test

NOTE: This scene was not used in the final show.

Completed in 16 hours. I was given roughly one page of script and told to complete thumbnails for a full sequence and clean 1 shot of it to demonstrate how I work in each stage of the process. At the time, 2 shots were clean when the sample was submitted and I cleaned up the rest of it later, which took approximately 4 hours. The show utilizes blender sets, so there are many used in this sample.

Tales From ‘85 Storyboard Cleanup Pass

NOTE: This sequence was for practice and was not used in the final show.

Completed in 8-9 hours. I cleaned up some thumbnails that our supervising director hadn’t finished yet. She was originally re-thumbing part of a sequence to address a note that added some extra lines from Nancy. Some of the director’s clean drawings are present (as marked in the upper left hand corner of the slides), but I cleaned up those thumbs she had not yet completed. Blender proxy sets were used. Initial board by Sarah Partington.

NOTE: This sequence was for practice and was not used in the final show.
I was instructed to do an acting pass to try out a different approach to the scene and add a few more poses. All work that was mine is marked in the upper left hand corner of the board panels. The show utilizes blender sets, so there are many used in this sample. Initial board by Ashe Jacobson.

ACTING PASS: This was a quick revision I did for practice of one shot of a sequence. My assignment was to revise the acting so that the main character would be distraught and stressed about something as she brought breakfast to the table. Blender proxy sets were used. Board by Jess Cuffe.
